How to use wheatgrass for molluscum
I have had remarkable success treating molluscum contagiosum using a wheatgrass extract, the key ingredient in all Dr Wheatgrass products. We have also received numerous unsolicited testimonials from parents and therapists around the world claiming high success rates. (View molluscum testimonials)
Apart from being effective for molluscum, wheatgrass, being essentially a staple food source, is very safe and side effects are rare. There may be slight reddening of the skin, but if this does occur, simply stop the treatment for a week then resume with a once or twice daily application.
The aim is to rid the skin of the molluscum pox virus. The way this happens with wheatgrass is not known exactly but is believed to be due to activation of growth factors that stimulate the skin’s immunity which then helps the body rid itself of the virus. This is quite a different approach to the traditional burning, squeezing, freezing and various other “treatment” modalities used.
Please don’t expect to see improvement overnight. It will more than likely take four to six weeks to see a definitive change for the better - or worse. In other words, if the spots become red and angry looking, this often suggests the virus is beginning to give up the fight. Responses vary considerably, so try to be patient. However, if the condition hasn't cleared after 6 months' treatment, it is likely only time will rid the body of the virus.
Directions:
Apply a small amount of either the Skin Recovery Spray (my recommendation for initial treatment) or the Skin Recovery Cream or Superbalm to the spots twice daily if possible. It is not necessary to cover the surrounding skin. For large affected areas, the spray is easy to apply and dries quickly. It is also more economical than the wheatgrass creams.
I sincerely hope that wheatgrass works for you or your child. If it does, a brief testimonial emailed to me would be most appreciated and could help many others with this perplexing problem.
